1. STRUCTURE & BUILDING

It is forbidden to cut, drill, or modify structural elements (2x4, 2x6, beams, trusses, pillars, etc.) without written authorization from the builder/engineer.

Before cutting drywall, locate studs, ducts, and conduits using an electronic detector (stud finder + multi-material scanner).

If the point is over a beam, relocate the device (never cut structural support).

Any structural damage must be reported immediately to the supervisor, with photos and description.

2. DEVICE INSTALLATION STANDARDS

2.1. Speakers / In-Ceiling / In-Wall

Use the manufacturer’s cut template and mark the position before cutting.

Ensure the location is free from structure, duct, plumbing, or electrical.

Check minimum backbox depth before cutting.

Never install in humid areas without the outdoor/IP-rated model.

Ensure aesthetic symmetry (alignment with light fixtures, diffusers, etc.).

2.2. TV / Displays

Check wall type and use proper anchors.

Mount bracket with minimum 2 studs and laser level.

Confirm D2 standard height (center 66" or per design) before drilling.

2.3. Racks & Equipment

Rack installed in a dry, ventilated, and accessible location.

Label all cables before termination.

Do not rest the weight of tools/equipment on patch panels.

Internal organization with Velcro (never electrical tape).

3. SAFETY PROCEDURES

Use of PPE required : gloves, safety glasses, N95 mask during drywall cutting, and closed-toe footwear.

Turn off power to the circuit before any electrical work.

Ladders on firm surface and with assistant for heights > 8 ft.

Never work alone at heights, with live power, or moving equipment.

Cables and tools must not block hallways/emergency exits.

4. DOCUMENTATION & RECORDS

D2 digital checklist filled and signed by the responsible technician.

Out-of-scope points documented with photo and reason.

Photo backup of all cuts (ceiling/wall) before and after.

Save photos to company drive in the project folder.

5. PENALTIES & RESPONSIBILITY

Cutting/drilling/altering structure without authorization is a serious violation and may result in suspension/termination.

Structural/electrical/aesthetic damages due to negligence are the technician’s responsibility.

Each member must sign the acknowledgment and responsibility form before entering the field.
